NLC Asia Circle Concert 'Chopin in Candle light'

The NLC Asia circle is delighted to present two wonderful young rising stars of the music world to our members and friends, who will perform an evening of Chopin music.
We are also delighted to announce that newly elected Lib Dem MP Zoe Franklin will open the concert for us.
Misha Kaploukhii
Born in 2002, Misha is an alumnus of the Moscow Gnessin College of Music.
He is currently studying at the Royal College of Music and is an ABRSM award holder generously supported by the Eileen Rowe Trust, Keyboard Trust, Drake Calleja Trust and The Robert Turnbull Foundation studying for a Bachelor of Music with Prof. Ian Jones.
Misha’s recent prizes include RCM Concerto Competition, International Ettlingen Piano Competition, Hopkinson Gold Medal at the Chappel Medal Competition and the 1st and Audience prizes at the 2024 Sheepdrove Piano Competition.
Magdalene Ho
Malaysian pianist Magdalene was born in 2003 and began playing the piano at the age of four. From 2013-2022, she studied with Patsy Toh at the Purcell School before gaining a full scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where she is currently a pupil of Dmitri Alexeev.
Magdalene is generously supported by the Weir Award via the Keyboard Charitable Trust. In 2023, she won the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition. Within the RCM, she has won the Joan Chissell Schumann Prize for Piano and the Chappell Medal. She has also taken part in masterclasses and benefited from the instruction of musicians such as Imogen Cooper, Roshan Magub and Simon Trpčeski

Cash bar in the David Lloyd George Room from 6.00pm, Concerts starts at 6.30pm.
