International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It also serves as a call to action for advancing gender equality, reminding us all that the continued struggle for equality affects everyone.
Since its official recognition by the United Nations in 1975, International Women’s Day has been celebrated annually on March 8, with each year focusing on a unique theme within women’s rights.
The National Liberal Club is proud to honor this day every year. In 2025, we’re partnering with the NLC Women’s Network to present an inspiring evening featuring eminent women speakers who will explore the significance of International Women’s Day and its ongoing relevance in shaping a fairer future.
