Speakers - Lord Bew - an expert on nineteenth-century British political history who has written and spoken extensively on William Ewart Gladstone and his era. - Professor Jon Parry - is a leading historian of William Ewart Gladstone, known for emphasising the central role of religion and moral conviction in shaping Gladstone’s political life.
Readings Francis Gladstone - a great-grandson of William Gladstone, Francis will give some short readings as well as let us know more about his experience growing up with the legacy of Gladstone's work in Ireland. We are honoured to be joined by the Deputy Head of Mission of the Irish Embassy for this special event, as well as other dignitaries. The evening will commence with a drinks reception in the Smoking Room. Following the talks, our excellent kitchen team will present a specially curated three-course Irish-themed dinner, created to mark this special occasion. Each course has been thoughtfully designed to showcase the best of seasonal ingredients with a distinctive Irish influence.
